About the artist
On the upper floor of a two-story house, in an airy corner, is an easel, a work table, and many tubes of paint. Dianne spends most of her days tucked away in this bright, cheery space, that overlooks the ocean towards Sidney. It is here where Dianne paints while enjoying audio books, Leonard Cohen and many cups of tea. Dianne Kelly was born in Victoria, BC. She is a full-time artist who has travelled widely and has studied and practiced art for the past 25 years. Her appreciation and love of art, beginning at a very early age, is reflected in her own journey as an artist. She addresses elements of colour, form and movement in her paintings and sculptures. Dianne’s recent work is whimsical and playful. Bold, bright colours dance freely on the canvas. Dianne’s work is in private collections in Canada, Japan, US and the UK. “It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.” Henry David Thoreau Associations: SASI Gold Level Associate Member FCA - Federation of Canadian Artists |
